So Much To Be Thankful For...

This time of year gives us pause to reflect on our blessings and what we have to be grateful for. It also opens up our hearts to provide a little comfort and grace for those in need.

We all go through cycles of life with challenges, trials, triumphs, and tribulations and I feel extremely blessed to be at a point where I am truly happy and content, not to mention grateful for so many things.

I had a difficult time getting pregnant with my five-year old daughter and now one-year old twins, which makes me that much more thankful for the joy they bring. I not only have the health and finances to care for them, but smile during those hard moments of interrupted sleep or one more story before total collapse.

As we get older we recognize the value of health and being healthy, and I am extremely grateful to have my health while loved ones have battled terrible diseases. Some we’ve lost, like my father and best childhood friend, and others have pulled through like my Mom and husband. Going through any illness with loved ones only makes you realize how lucky you are to wake up in the morning without any pain, and just to be able to breathe in and out. I try to take a moment each morning and say a prayer of thanks for being able to face the day and breathe.

I’m also grateful to own my business after two decades and employ a wonderful team with fantastic clients ranging from movie studios to raisins. I love what I do, and am inspired every day by the work that we and others do in this industry.

Overall, I must say the biggest gratification comes from service to others. I sincerely feel more fulfilled from giving than I do in receiving. The more I give back and help others, the better I feel. Whether it is being of service to a higher power, my family, friends, clients, employees, strangers, and stray animals, I believe that one person’s actions can make a difference. If we all do our part to help our neighbors, our earth and, most importantly, those most vulnerable, we can change lives for the better and improve our quality of life.

Thanksgiving is a time to give thanks, think of others and eat a lot of good food. I love this time of year and would like to say thanks to all of you who have given me support, love and friendship over the years.

I wish you and your families a very safe and happy holiday.
