"American Pie 2" Announce Kit Program

OVERVIEW
TRG was approached to create fresh ideas for Universal's pack-out materials to help promote the airing of American Pie 2 on Pay-Per-View. Playing off of the theme from the movie where the main characters take summer jobs as painters, TRG's promotional products department devised the concept of using paint cans containing American Pie 2 memorabilia such as a T-Shirt, the movie's soundtrack and other marketing materials. The cans were individually fitted and wrapped with a custom printed label that made this promotion stand out from the crowd.

RESULTS
This promotion was sent out during the film's release in 2001 and helped enhance the youthful and fun message intended in its national marketing campaign towards the die-hard fans from the original American Pie movie and new young audiences.
